Because the cause of most adrenal gland disorders is not known, they can be difficult to prevent. Many causes of adrenal gland disorders, such as cancerous and benign tumors, are themselves difficult to prevent. If you have a family history of adrenal gland disorder, or if you have suffered from infections, like tuberculosis, that increase your risk of adrenal gland disorder, talk to your doctor about preventing adrenal gland disorders.
