What are symptoms of inattention in children with ADHD?

Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) who are inattentive may have the following behaviors:
  • They have difficulty focusing.
  • They do not appear to hear or listen.
  • They are distracted at play or during class.
  • They care little about details and are careless with their work or projects.
  • They may not finish their homework, classwork, or projects. 
  • They are unorganized. 
  • They are irresponsible and often lose items. 
  • They are forgetful.
