Who should not take ramipril?

If you are allergic to any ingredients in ramipril or to other drugs ending in -pril, do not take ramipril. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take ramipril, as it could result in fetal death or be transferred through breast milk in small quantities. Children risk kidney damage if given ramipril. Certain drugs may interact with ramipril, so tell your doctor about any other medications or supplements you take before starting this drug. Complications can occur if you take ramirpil and also have angioedema, lupus, diabetes, scleroderma, heart, kidney or liver disease. Discuss your medical history carefully with your doctor before you are prescribed ramipril.
