Who should not take enalapril?

People who are allergic to enalapril should not take this medication. People who have had angioedema (severe swelling) after taking an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor or who have had unexplained angioedema, should not take enalapril. Pregnant women should not take enalapril. You should not use enalapril while breastfeeding.
