What are the side effects of captopril?

Captopril has a number of side effects ranging from mild irritations to potentially serious conditions. Possible side effects of captopril include: low blood pressure, dizziness or lightheadedness, loss of change of taste, cough, sore throat, fever, mouth sores, unusual bruising, fast heartbeat or excessive tiredness. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: chest pain, swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, arms or legs, difficulty breathing or swallowing, fainting, rash.
