What are possible side effects of Zestril?

Like most drugs, Zestril (lisinopril), which treats high blood pressure and certain heart problems, may cause a number of side effects. These include:
  • cough
  • dizziness
  • headache
  • excessive tiredness
  • diarrhea
  • nausea
  • weakness
  • runny nose
  • decreased sexual ability
  • rash
If any of these persists or is severe, tell your doctor. Some side effects require immediate medical attention. They are:
  • chest pain
  • fainting
  • swelling of your face or other body parts
  • breathing difficulties
  • signs of an infection (such as a sore throat)
