Is it safe for my child to take quinapril?

Quinapril is not approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration to treat high blood pressure or heart failure in children. If your child has either of these conditions, talk with your child's pediatrician or specialist. The safety and effectiveness of quinapril in children is not yet known, so until more information is available, your child should take other medicines to treat his condition.
