How soon after starting fosinopril will my symptoms improve?

People with high blood pressure or people in danger of heart failure often show few to no symptoms. This can make it difficult to tell if fosinopril is effectively treating these conditions. However, your doctor will want to check up on your progress with several follow-up appointments. During follow-up appointments, your doctor will check your blood pressure to test fosinopril's effectiveness on your hypertension. Your doctor may also order lab tests to monitor your body's reaction to fosinopril, especially if you report any side effects relating to your kidney or liver. If you experience side effects indicating an allergic reaction such as swelling, rash or difficulty breathing, your doctor will discontinue your prescription for fosinopril.
