How soon after starting Vasotec will my symptoms improve?

Studies of Vasotec (enalapril) show that it may take several weeks of treatment before high blood pressure drops to an optimal level, though most patients will see a drop in pressure after a few hours of the first dose. Your doctor may be able to give you an idea of when you might see progress, based on his or her experiences with other patients. In any case, don't worry if you don't see results right away. That does not mean the medicine isn't working.
