How soon after taking benazepril will my symptoms improve?

If benazepril (Lotensin) is prescribed to treat high blood pressure, you may need to take the medication for two weeks before you get results. If benazepril is prescribed to treat congestive heart failure, it may take several weeks or months to realize its benefits. You should not increase your dosage or prolong the use of benazepril without your doctor's recommendation. Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor, even if you feel fine or your symptoms subside.
