How soon after taking enalapril will my symptoms improve?

Enalapril works by lowering blood pressure. Since high blood pressure usually does not have any symptoms, you will likely not feel any difference. Keep taking enalapril, even if you are feeling fine. It may take several weeks to get the full effect of the medication. Your doctor will monitor your blood pressure and other lab values regularly to determine whether your dosage needs to be adjusted.
