How does enalapril interact with other medications or food?

Taking enalapril increases the risk of high potassium levels. Consult with your doctor if you are taking potassium supplements or using salt substitutes that contain potassium. NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), such as ibuprofen and naproxen, may decrease the effects of enalapril. It may increase the side effects of cyclosporine and lithium. Diuretics can increase the effects of enalapril.
