Can I use Zestril if I have a history of heart disease?

Zestril (lisinopril) is used for various heart conditions, including heart failure and high blood pressure; it's also sometimes given after a heart attack to improve the odds of recovery. However, people with an enlarged heart or a condition called aortic stenosis, both of which interfere with the movement of blood out of the heart, should use Zestril with caution. Before you start taking Zestril, make sure your doctor knows about your history of any heart problems.
