Are tummy tucks performed on bariatric surgery patients?

Tummy tucks or panniculectomies may be performed on bariatric surgical patients. Patients with massive weight loss often require skin removal throughout the body. The pannus from the abdomen should be removed with surgical excision. There unfortunately is no other way to remove a massive abdominal pannus. After massive weight loss from the gastric bypass surgery, I perform large panniculectomies and breast reconstruction with implants and lifts.
