What happens in the third trimester of pregnancy?

During the third trimester of pregnancy, you may begin to feel more uncomfortable as your baby grows. Backaches, heartburn, weight gain, and hemorrhoids may become part of everyday life. However, these physical discomforts may pale in comparison with the anxiety and excitement as you anticipate the birth of your child. You will begin to see your doctor more frequently, and they may run tests to make sure you are not developing any problems, such as anemia or gestational diabetes.
