    Our Mission

As one of the largest facilities in the nation’s largest hospital system (HCA), 466-bed Chippenham Hospital provides a full range of services, including several sophisticated specialty centers. The Levinson Heart Hospital is one of Virginia’s best cardiac facilities utilizing the newest heart health techniques and equipment such as subcutaneous ICD, hybrid convergent, and Lariat procedure. Tucker Pavilion is a 113-bed on-campus child, adolescent, adult, and elderly mental health and wellness facility with a multijurisdictional Crisis Triage Center. Our Emergency Department is a state-licensed Level III trauma center, staffed and equipped to diagnose and treat even the most serious illnesses and accidents. We are a destination hospital regionally for pediatric care, with a pediatric intensive care unit, a neonatal care unit, and a pediatric ED staffed 24/7 by nurses and physicians with expert training in managing children’s health problems. In addition, we are a Primary Stroke Care Center and an accredited Chest Pain Center, reflecting our industry-leading approach in using evidence-based care for patients. Other areas of excellence include women’s services, orthopedics, and surgery, which includes cases performed using the da Vinci® robotic system. Chippenham Hospital is part of HCA Virginia, the commonwealth’s most comprehensive health system with 13 hospitals, two freestanding Emergency Centers, some 30 other outpatient centers, and 3,200 affiliated physicians in central, southwest and northern Virginia.
