My approach to treating and caring for patients is always a collaborative effort. I make it my duty to inform the patient fully about the etiology, course, treatment, and prognosis of the disease. I find many patients that come to their first appointment with very pertinent information, and I respect that many "trusted" internet sites have a wealth of correct information. I make it a point to listen to the wishes of the patient, and respect their decisions, as long as I feel they have received all of the correct information regarding their disease. I spend quite a bit of time during the appointment making sure the patient is well informed and I encourage patients to become involved in all aspects of their care
