About Me

Care Philosophy
  • I grew up in New York city (Washington Heights), went to City College, and graduated from Suny optometry in 1983. I have been in private practice ever since. In the midst of lower Manhattan, surrounded by optical chains, and other eye care providers, we have thrived for close to 30 years, surviving the 9/11 WTC attack, and superstorm Sandy. My eye examination is problem based. I communicate well with my patients, and determine why it is that they are seeking help, and I help them. It may be for an eye glass Rx, contact lens Rx, or any other eye health issue. If I can't help them I refer them to someone who can. I have an energetic, friendly, professional staff, who have been with me for many years, and are the source of any success we may have had through the years. We take a long term view of our practice, seeking to nurture long term relationships with our patients. We value our patients, and strive to give them fast, professional service, and offer our designer frames at discount prices. This formula has served us well, and kept us around in a very competitive environment.Being an optometrist in private practice, has been a pleasure , and a privilege for me, and I look forward to serving patients eye care needs for many years to come.
