- Maxwell Poling, PA-C (Max) is a Board Certified Physician Associate specializing in medical dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Born and raised in Melbourne Beach, FL, Max began his early years pursuing a professional career in professional Surfing. He became a professional athlete, earning professional standing in the Eastern Surfing Association. A water spirit at heart, Max has always revered the beauty and serenity of our beaches and waters on the Treasure Coast. After retiring from professional sports, Max followed his second passion, which was medicine and surgery. He initially matriculated into the University of Central Florida, where he graduated with High Honors in Biology and Chemistry. He then pursued a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University, earning that degree in 2013, again with honors. He began his career in Dermatology doing advanced skincare and reconstructive surgical procedures with Ivy League dermatologists at the University of Pennsylvania, and then pursued his passion for plastic surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He stays up to date on the latest treatment options and has spearheaded clinical research for groundbreaking therapies. He has experience treating all skin types and is highly trained in different treatment modalities for skin cancer, medical dermatology, and aesthetics. He joined Ocean Drive Dermatology with a pedigree rich in training regarding use of ablative and non-ablative laser therapy, a broad range of dermal fillers, popular neuromodulators, energy devices, and medical skin care regimens for rejuvenating the way your face, arms, legs, and buttocks appear. Despite his impressive training and experience, Max interned under Dr. Durkin for 3 months prior to seeing his first patient at Ocean Drive Dermatology, so that his already impressive skills could be honed even sharper.
