I had compound fracture on ankle that severed my foot. Dr. Ortega performed the surgery and attached the foot perfectly and I have all feeling and nerve function. Dr. Ortega also operated on my crushed elbow and put in a new elbow. He is the best.

Care Philosophy

My interest in orthopedic surgery began when I was an orthopedic patient. While playing football, I suffered a knee injury that required multiple surgeries. I credit the outstanding care of my orthopedic surgeon and physical therapists in my return to sports and in my desire to be an orthopedic surgeon. Through my surgeries and recoveries, I have experience as a patient, which I believe helps me provide high quality health care with a passionate and dedicated service to all my patients.

My clinical interests and specialties include complex fractures, upper and lower extremity fractures, fracture nonunions/malunions, fracture and soft-tissue complications, pelvis/acetabular fractures, and anterior hip, robotic knee, and shoulder replacements.
