About Me

Care Philosophy
    1. Every child is seen by me personally
    2. I will spend an hour with a new patient (sometimes longer if the problem is complex) understanding the child's medical problems and the implication that problem has on the child's functioning within family and friends.
    3. If the child has health or developmental issues other than GI and nutritional, I will often advise parents on how best to obtain care for these problems, since I feel strongly that focusing on just the GI system often misses the whole reason that the child has issues (including GI).
    4. Before the family leaves the office, I discuss in detail with the parents, the diagnosis, the treatment plan, and what they can anticipate over next few weeks.I will give written instructions, so there can be no miscommunication on just verbal instructions. If parents need to contact me after hours for an urgent matter, they simply dial the office number and press "0" and I will answer the call from my cell phone while they hold.
