Dr. Epperly actually takes the time to try to figure out what's happening with you. Other doctors I have seen tend to dismiss your concerns if they can't see a reason for it. Dr. Epperly looks for the reason and treats it. Believe me, you will also not find another doctor who knows as much about thyroid issues as Dr. Epperly. This includes endocrinologists.
As a doctor, I believe in listening to patients and partnering with them to help them reach their health goals. I try and keep patients off of drugs if possible, but recognize that drugs are necessary and helpful in certain situations. But I want to help people can get healthy in as natural and nontoxic ways as possible. Toward that end, we strongly emphasize lifestyle changes, healthy diet, and nutritional supplements where necessary. We also employ a concept known as functional medicine when we can, and we try and optimize hormone levels, especially thyroid, adrenal hormones, testosterone, and bioidentical estrogen. Finally, we help people lose weight using a simple, powerful, and scientifically proven method, because obesity is an epidemic problem that contributes strongly to most of the chronic health problems in our country.
