Dr Torres is an amazing physician. She has treated me as though I am a personal family member. She is a ball of energy and has been extremely responsive to any concerns or questions I have had regarding my diagnoses, procedures and treatments. She has collaborated with the other members of my healthcare team to ensure the best decisions possible are made for my individual case. I am very appreciative of her talent, experience and caring personality!

Care Philosophy
- My name is Dr Vilma I Torres. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. I am also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. At 12 years old, I watched my mother's struggles as a heart patient and knew I wanted to be a physician so I could help her and many others like her. I went on to earn my medical degree at the age of 23 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and then moved out west, where I completed an internship and medical residency at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. I followed this with a fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
