In 1991 I was in the care of a group in Winston-Salem. My leg had a very bad bone infection and my doctor was just waiting until amputation was required. We sought help from Charlotte Orthopedic Specialists. Dr. Lovejoy had compassion for my situation and took me on as a patient. He and his group decided to attempt to save my leg and a year later I was back walking on it. Dr. Lovejoy was the physician for whom I will always be thankful. I hope one day I can tell him in person over 3 decades later. Thank you, Dr. Steven A. Lovejoy. Kurt M. Widenhouse
