In 2019, my shoulder was injured while caring for my elderly mom. It got to the point that I couldn't raise my arm above my head and limited movement below my head. XR's showed no problems with the shoulder, but the pain was acute. The HSS doctor prescribed PT which made the condition worse. He then prescribed a MRI and informed me that it was a small tear and it would heal with PT. I stopped PT because of the pain. After 6 more months I took the same MRI to Dr. Silver. He said the tear is associated with a nerve and only with surgery could my shoulder be restored. I dealt with incredible pain for a year, and 3 months after Dr. Silver operated, I was normal. Now in 2023, my shoulder is still in great shape.
