  • My name is Simon Mears, MD, PhD, and I am the division chief of adult arthroplasty and joint reconstruction in the University of Florida Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. I am board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. I specialize in hip and knee replacements, including both primary and revision surgery. My research interests focus on the clinical outcomes of geriatric patients as well as revision hip and knee replacement, particularly fractures and infections. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of training, working and holding multiple leadership positions at some of the top hospitals for orthopaedic surgery in the United States.
