The thanks that my family would like to give Dr. Steigman is truly beyond measure. He treated our daughter this year as a newborn who had a choledochal cyst. He was by our side from the day after delivery walking us through the process and also during her seven plus hour laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Steigman has changed her life for the better and she is recovering amazingly. There is not a day that passes that I am not thankful for his dedication and genuine care for our child. We feel so lucky and grateful that he pulled off such a tremendously difficult surgery and there's nobody we trusted more than him and his dedicated team. If you are so lucky to have him as your doctor just know that you are in the best hands.

Steigman, MD is Assistant Professor of Surgery in the division of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Trauma  at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Board-certified in both pediatric surgery and general surgery, he enjoys a wide range of clinical interests and expertise, including neonatal surgery, gastrointestinal pediatric surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, thoracic surgery, pediatric surgical oncology, pediatric trauma, prenatal counseling of congenital surgical disorders, repair of tracheoesophageal fistula and/or esophageal atresia, and complex anorectal malformations.  He specializes in the advanced minimally-invasive techniques so valuable for our young patients.
