Dr. Miller's Background

Bio

Dr. Saul Miller is a 1971 graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry.  His practice philosophy puts emphasis on smile enhancement, esthetics and quality, performed with care and understanding in a professional relaxed atmosphere. He was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1974, including a one-year internship. As an undergraduate, he attended Temple University. A Philadelphia native, he has maintained a general dental practice in the northeast section of Philadelphia since 1974. In addition, he is a member of the faculty at the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry.

Saul has been a member of the ADA since his graduation from dental school. His talents have been shared at the local level in Philadelphia for many years. He served the Philadelphia County Dental Society as a member of numerous committees, including the Advisory Committee, the Committee on Professional Relations, the Liberty Dental Conference Task Force and the Executive Committee. He has been a member of the Society’s Board of Governors from 1988 to the present, except for two years; was Historian for one year; served as Treasurer from 1993 to 2000; was a member of the Board of Directors of the Liberty Dental Conference from 1988 to 1993; and served as General Chairman for the 1993 Conference. Saul has been editor of the Journal of the Philadelphia County Dental Society since 2005, and his insightful, thought provoking and humorous column, “It’s Not Just About The Teeth,” has been well received during this time.

On the statewide level, he was First District Trustee from 2000 -2005, and has served on Annual Session Reference Committees, the Council on Communication and Public Relations and the Council on Administrative Affairs. He has served as Trustee-Liaison to the Council on Communications and Public Relations and the Council on Membership. He has also served as an alternate delegate to the ADA Annual Session.

Away from the profession, Saul is an avid biker and a member of the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia. He was a member of the American Cancer Society Bike-A-Thon organizing committee from 1996 to 2001, and still participates in this yearly event. He is also a member of the New Hope Nordics, a cross country ski club. He was President of Fitness Forum, Inc., from 1996 to 2001 and was a founding member of the Fourum Study Club.

Saul is known to his patients as an interested and caring practitioner, whose wide-ranging sense of humor is thoroughly welcomed and, many times, reciprocated.
