My first encounter with Dr. Dower was in 1987 after having a nodule on my thyroid removed. I think the ink on his diploma was still wet. He actually called me on his day off to address my concerns. Yes, he gave me his cell phone number.It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen him but I will always remember his thoughtfulness and determination to get me back on track. I’m now 72 and have had zero thyroid issues since. Random times certain people will pop up in your head.
