About Me

Care Philosophy

  • As an internist and a pediatrician some of our care is more of a marathon than a sprint managing chronic conditions. I believe in a care philosophy that prioritizes collaboration so that these medical conditions do not dictate how patients live their lives. There is a place for aggressive management of hypertension, heart disease and diabetes to avoid long term complications, but this must be continually reevaluated to find solutions that don't involve taking a pill. I hope to provide a home base for your care to find specialists when needed and bridge the gap to those services. Preventive health and women's health also play a big role in avoiding chronic medical issues in the first place. Finding ways to bring healthcare in line with other current industries and innovations is a goal at UCHealth. I look forward to trying different models of care such as better communication through technology and implementing group visits as an alternative to the usual model for patient follow up.
