I was seen by Dr Scruggs and staff for a serious infection near the eye. It was an emergency and I had already been seen by other eye doctors who had not properly addressed the problem and it was getting serious. Dr Scruggs was compassionate, competent, and caring. He arranged to take care of the problem right away and fixed it correctly the first time. I could not be more pleased. His assistant was also on the ball and knowledgeable and caring. Top Rating.

I thoroughly evaluate the individual and have a detailed discussion to determine the patient's specific goals, needs, and expectations to come up with an individualized treatment plan. Often the treatment plan does not involve surgery, however if surgery is the best course, I ensure that the patient has a clear understanding of our plan and feels that all of their concerns have been addressed.
