I've had multiple back surgeries but still had a lot of pain. When I met Dr. Mattie for the first time about 2 years ago, I told him about my issues and he went through my options. He talked to me about spinal cord stimulation but I really wasn't interested, and he didn't push it any further. He was able to do some injections that helped me get by for a while but the injections became less effective over time. Every once and a while Dr. Mattie would revisit the discussion on spinal cord stimulation and told me if and when I was ready he thought it might really help. But he also said he's a doctor and not a salesman and that he would continue to try whatever treatment I was comfortable with. After two years I finally decided to give it a shot and it has been life-changing. Dr. Mattie, thank you for being so patient with me and so caring and not rushing me into anything. You are the best!
