I had been searching for months for a new psychiatrist and therapist after my psychiatrist of 12 years retired. From my first meeting with Dr. Carp, I felt understood and listened to. It feels like I am talking to a human being when I meet with Dr. Carp and not a wall with a degree in psychiatry, like some other doctors I talked to in the area did. Dr. Carp ensures I understand the chemistry behind the medications I am on, and how they interact. As someone that has been on medications since my childhood, my previous psychiatrist never really explained why I was on what I was prescribed, but Dr. Carp makes me feel in control of my medication plan and explained why I was put on certain meds, and with her I have since found out that I didn't need to be on such high dosages of some of the medications I was on before. I am so lucky to have found her, and I finally feel heard and understood by a mental health professional - which was so hard for me before. Highly recommend Dr. Carp!
