I did a lot of research on spine surgeons in the LA area and collected a number of recommendations before choosing Dr. Melikian. You're probably doing the same thing right now, so I want to help you out: you won't find a better doctor. Full stop. He is highly skilled, experienced, has an excellent track record, and he's a fantastic human being. He listens, he explains everything, he cares about the pain that you're in -- I've never had a doctor who responds faster to an email. No idea how he does it all. Also, he's not the surgeon who pressures you to skip straight to the surgical option. With his guidance, I made significant progress on my neck pain with PT and a chiropractor. But ultimately, I needed to have him perform a cervical disc replacement for full relief. And the entire process -- the scheduling, working out the financials and insurance, the surgery and post-op -- was stunningly painless.
