I recently on March 27th had quadruple coronary bypass surgery at Mount Sinai.. my surgeon was Dr Varghese..from the very beginning Dr Varghese and his team kept me informed about what was happening and when it would happen, which was really helping me stay calm and not be nervous..Dr Varghese is a very skilled surgeon, his communication skills are amazing and filled with confidence that everything would be alright . My chest incision is only about 6 inches which is much shorter than I expected.. the surgery went amazingly.. I was home in a week and now after 3 weeks all my incisions are healing nicely and the pain level was actually non .existent.. I'm well on my way to a full recovery..The nurses at the ICU at Mount Sinai are simply angels! They make you feel respected and treat you as your the only patient there when obviously your not..They make you as comfortable as possible and answer all your questions and concerns .. they truly define the word 'caregiver'
