Understanding that everyone’s surgical results differ, I had a very pleasant experience from the start of care to the end. Would absolutely recommend.

  • Dr Robert Strominger, MD, with over 20 years of experience in otolaryngology, laryngology, voice, and swallowing, joined Carilion New River Valley in Jan 2023. Formerly at the National Institute of Deafness, he directed the voice and swallowing clinic at Ithaca College and later the University of Texas. Teaming up with Carilion's speech therapy, he now leads a voice and swallowing clinic at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. The clinic merges otolaryngology and speech therapy, utilizing videostroboscopy and endoscopy for precise evaluations. Treatments encompass therapy and surgery, such as microlaryngeal surgery, thyroplasty, laser arytenoidectomy, and BOTOX injection for spasmodic dysphonia.
