Care Philosophy

I am a psychiatrist in private practice interested in providing outstanding clinical care through combining an in-depth psychodynamic understanding and a sophisticated use of pharmacotherapy. I aim to effectively negotiate between the differing perspectives that a psychodynamic lens and a biological lens bring to understanding the person who suffers from mental distress and illness. I also aim to provide assistance in the form of negotiating a complex and unwieldy medical system for my patients for whom non-psychiatric medical problems are also particularly relevant.
