Care Philosophy

I have been taking care of heart patients since 1982. I am best described as an Integrative Cardiologist since I employ conventional treatments as well as selected ones from Complementary and Alternative Medicine. A key aspect of my comprehensive approach to patients is assessment of their hormonal status and use of Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy in an individualized and judicious application. All my patients receive the attention and caring they seek and deserve.
A special interest I have as a Cardiologist is treating heart muscle conditions called Cardiomyopathy, employing all the pharmaceutical options we have available, and in addition, utilizing the concept of optimizing the heart's metabolic and nutritional status, as in testing for micro-nutrient deficiencies and replenishing them as needed.
