Often, a visit to a doctor's office involves long waits and quick consultations. In the 19 months I have been going to Dr. Lipman's office, those issues are reversed. The staff is always helpful, courteous, and friendly.....they are simply terrific. Dr. Lipman has helped me achieve great success (120+) with his plan and encouragement. Yes, I am responsible for following the plan, but his positive energy and motivation have played a tremendous role in that success. He is genuinely caring!

As an endocrinologist. board certified internist, I have treated more than 40,000 overweight patients and those with metabolic disturbances and diabetes for the past 40 years. I believe that obesity can be a serious illness with genetic and environmental causes. For many people its a lifelong problem. Identifying children and teens who are overeating or overweight and making changes to prevent adult obesity is the ideal goal.
I believe the medical community and the media to some extent has failed to help many obese individuals when they attribute their obesity to laziness, self indulgence and lack of will power rather than to the biochemical dysfunction which causes much of the weight gain often beyond the control of the individual. Obese individuals struggling with their weight need kindness and understanding from family, friends and especially their physicians.
