After suffering in unbearable pain for over 3 years I was referred to Dr Komotar for Trigeminal neuralgia. My consultation was on a Friday, he had me scheduled for emergency surgery the following Tuesday. Although my fear of brain surgery kept me in pain for 3 years, in less than an hour he eased all my fears and convinced me it was for the best. My surgery was a success and I’ve been pain free for 2 years. His staff and residents were very thorough and professional. It was without a doubt the best medical decision I’ve ever made. #painfree

He received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with highest honors and completed his internship and neurosurgical residency at Columbia University Medical Center/The Neurological Institute of New York, followed by a surgical neurooncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to specialize in brain tumors.
