A cancer diagnosis is one of last things a patient wants on their list of concerns, but Dr. Acharya helped me get through it all. Dr. Acharya-Leon treated me for breast cancer this year (2023.) From our earliest interactions I could tell she was a very bright, very compassionate person. I have a complicated health history, in addition to being neurodivergent. Patients like me take up a disproportionate amount of a physician's time and energy. Dr. Acharya gave me what time and energy she could give, all while treating a large number of other patients. I believe she worked with me and my situation to the best of her ability and any patient would be lucky to have her.

Dr Acharya has an emphasis in breast, GI and GU cancers and is well versed in all areas of hematology and oncology. She has a strong motivation to care for patients and focuses on their desires and goals. She tailors her treatment plans to the goals of the individual patient and values quality of life above all. She believes in honest and open communication and educating her patients but ultimately allows her patients to choose for oneself based on their values and belief system. Dr Acharya prides herself in being up to date on the cutting edge of technology.
