- Dr Peter Senatore is Medical Director of the Emergency Room and Oncology Immediate Care Clinic at Cancer Treatment Centers of America CTCA Chicago One of the first stakeholders at CTCA Dr Senatore has been caring for patients here since the founding of our Chicago hospital and is a leader within the CTCA community Dr Senatore earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Illinois He completed a Master s degree in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University and later graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine becoming a Doctor of Osteopathy His postgraduate training including residencies at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Michigan and in the United States Navy at the Great Lakes Naval Base He also completed a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine After serving briefly at a trauma center emergency room at a regional hospital Dr Senatore joined CTCA in 1978 Licensed to practice medicine by the State of Illinois Dr Senatore is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Family Practice Medicine by the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine His certifications also include Quality Assurance Utilization Review by the American Board of Quality Assurance Utilization Review and Physician Executive Medicine by the American Association for Physician Leadership Dedicated to the advancement of emergency and executive medicine Dr Senatore has published numerous articles on these fields in prominent medical journals throughout his career At CTCA Dr Senatore serves the urgent care needs of patients He treats emergency issues related to cancer and stabilizes urgent noncancerous conditions requiring medical management It is a privilege to serve our exceptional and motivated patients says Dr Senatore He is also heavily involved with administrative hospital matters ensuring that physicians maintain competency and certifications in safety quality assurance and emergency management He serves as Chairman of the Credentialing Committee and Utilization Review Committee and as Physician Adviser for employee health and risk management He is a member of hospital committees focused on safety ethics infectious control and critical care among others Outside of CTCA Dr Senatore enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing creative interests I am the fortunate husband in a 42 year marriage a big brother a devoted soccer coach an amateur painter and a lucky grandparent he says
