I've had to have 14 thoracentesis procedures over the last 5 months. Dr. Koplyay had the best technique BY FAR! I wouldn't feel anything, whereas the other doctors caused me a lot of pain . He is very personable so he's able to distract you from the procedure. He took his time and actually stayed for the entire procedure. Most of the other doctors would get the drain going and leave the nurse to do the rest.
