I am a retired oncologist and Pedram Gerami is the leading expert in the detection of melanoma and interpretation of it under a microscope. He is an unparalleled doctor: kind, caring, understanding of the human being in front of him. He knows exactly what to say to ease concerns. Every time I find my myself on shaky ground, he says just the right words to pull me through like 'You will be fine from this. You are strong and dealing with your circumstances well and I am sure you will get through this well.' His expertise plus understanding of the human condition is unmatched in today's medical climate. His exam is extremely thorough as he examines each mole under a dermoscope. Northwestern, his patients and the Chicago area is fortunate. I am forever grateful and honored to know him.
