I’ve had an 8 year history going to ENT’s for recurring laryngeal papilloma. Dr Mallur was my second, fourth, and current ENT for maintenance. The first ENT misdiagnosed the condition as calloused nodules, but Dr Mallur picked up on the mistake and acted quickly to start treatment via laser ablation, Avastin injection, and I-3-C supplements. My specific case turned out to be aggressive, but with good communication, trial-and-error, and data collection, my treatment evolved to its current form with good success despite a scary prognosis. I was almost in remission when the pandemic hit and Dr Mallur had to go on temporary family leave, at which time I saw another ENT at Mass Eye&Ear. That ENT was a bit over-confident that their methods would cure me, and I paid for it with an aggressive return of multiple papilloma. Thankfully Dr Mallur found extra time when he came back to treat the way we used to, and my papilloma have been in remission since. Incredibly thankful for him.
