Both of my kids have been seeing this doctor for about 9 years now. She is attentive and always responds to messages. One of my children have a special condition and she was able to guide me through the entire process. Very flexible and personable.

  • Sonya believes that every patient deserves to be respected and treated as a person and not a number. She hopes to listen attentively and empathetically, while also putting the patient's best interests at the forefront of their care. Prior to joining the Healthcare Associates family, Sonya worked as a Physician Assistant in the settings of sleep medicine and urgent care. She attended the University of Texas at Dallas for her undergraduate education and received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Sonya lives with her wonderful husband, David, and their cat, Sora. She enjoys watching movies, singing, trying new foods, serving at her church, and spending time with her family and friends.
