Dr. Shinder took care of my diabetes and kept it under control. I didn't want a specialist for my diabetes and this is not his specialty but he was willing to care for that. Also, I have asthma and he was on top of making sure I had the right medications so I could breathe well. He also cared for my health overall.

  • Dr Neil Shinder is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and Critical Care. He received his medical degree from McGill University in Quebec. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of Toronto and went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary and sleep medicine at Queen's University in Ontario. He completed a second fellowship at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in pulmonary medicine where he further trained in sleep medicine. Dr Shinder was the past Medical Director of the Edythe Kurz Center for Sleep Medicine at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. His professional affiliations include the American College of Chest Physicians and American Sleep Disorders Association.
