I have, unfortunately had several bad experiences at Porter Regional whenever my Grandmother has to be admitted. I have, on multiple occasions had to report MDs and RNs for improper protocol or lack of attention to some MAJOR health factors. But today, when my sweet Grandma had to be taken by ambulance to the ER, we were Blessed enough to have the amazing Dr. Shaffer! He explained everything and addressed all of our concerns, including calling both her Dialysis Center, speaking to the Nephrologist and calling her Cardiologist (not just sending her home with Instructions to follow up!) He got her in and out in a timely manner and I couldn't be more grateful to you Dr. Shaffer and to the RNs who drew blood from her IV vs stabbing her and bruising her up any more then she already is... Thank you! I hope you are the sign of better things to come at Porter Regional
