Miguel L. Knochel, MD, FAAP is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Clinical, at the University of Utah. He is a pediatric hospitalist at Riverton Hospital and Primary Children's Hospital in Utah. He is the medical director of the Primary Children's Unit at Riverton Hospital, and medical director of Interprofessional Continuing Education at Intermountain Healthcare. He strives to provide top-notch coordinated and individualized care for sick children and newborns, to teach physicians-in-training, and to innovate to improve the quality and safety of the hospital. His research interests include Brief Resolved Unexplained Events (BRUE) in infants.
