For 5-6 months, my 88 year old mother had knee pain and what she thought was a “knocking knee.” Her mobility and quality of life were drastically declining. Dr. Ziegele figured out the issue was her hip and agreed to schedule her for surgery. Post op hip replacement, the noise and knee pain disappeared. Within 3 weeks, Mom was walking without a walker or cane. She attended church and returned to grocery shopping. One month out, she is going up and down stairs with ease, feeding her birds, attending concerts and driving to other social gatherings with joy. Dr. Ziegele was efficient and kind with thorough explanations and answers to questions. He was attentive to check in post op day 1 even though it was a Saturday. His ThedaCare team followed up at the three week appointment. Thanks to Dr Ziegele and his ThedaCare team, my fiercely independent mom is able to engage in a meaningful life and connection again. We are grateful.
